Homemade croutons may sound daunting, but in reality they are very easy to make!
I won’t lie, store bought croutons are an easy fix when you are in a rush, but homemade croutons are so easy to make, and so much better tasting that it’s almost illegal for you to go the store bought route.
Do you have leftover and stale bread? Even better for croutons!
I try to say away from simple carbs most of the time, but some croutons truly can take any salad or soup to the next level. The best part is that you only need three ingredients to make croutons: a bread of your choice (whole, whole wheat, olive bread, gluten-free bread), Olive Oil, and seasonings of your choice.
Personally, I am a huge fan of the garlic crouton, and this is the recipe I am sharing here. However, you can add or remove seasonings are you like and customize your crouton taste to your liking or based on the type of cuisine you are cooking.
